heaven on earth

Man is at his greatest when he falls at His feet and beholds the Holy Lamb.

When we were kids and couldn't see the fireworks because of the crowd, our parents would have raised us up and set us on their shoulders. We young, little and short. Yet because we were on our parent's shoulders, we could see better than any of the struggling adults around us. We enjoyed the fireworks better, because we had a shoulder to sit on while everyone around us, though physically stronger and taller than us, had to endure long hours of standing.

When we were'nt able to cross a road fast enough for the flashing reen man and a car was approaching, our parents would have carried us in their arms, crossing on our behalf and avoiding every oncoming danger.

When we grew older, we thought we knew what it meant to be great. We thought we were great.
We thought we knew it all.

Yet when we fell, we were lost.

Until He picked us up, raised us and sat us on His shoulders.

And we never knew we could stand on mountains, walk on stormy seas or be more than we thought we could ever achieve.
