I once read somewhere about someone writing about disappointment.. I can't remember if it's online on a blog or a book I read..but it stuck with me for a long time because this person put disappointment so well in words.
It went something like this (the idea is there - I can't remember the exact wordings):
I'd long since learned to stop caring about my own disappointments. Disappointment is a little like pain. It hurts so much at first, but when it pains so often, we become almost numb to it. If disappointments are a price to pay for someone's happiness, it ain't that much of a price I guess.
don't you find it so true?
